Ashley Barr has coached the past 3yrs with Columbus United Volleyball Club (16's,17's and 18's). She coached a U12 team for TVC in 2005. She played for 9 years as a setter and Libero. She went to Bowling Green High School and played club with Toledo Volleyball Club. Her Junior year (TVC 17’s team) placed 2nd at Nationals. She went on to play her freshman year at Walsh University as a Libero.
Coach Dana Chapman is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she was an outside hitter and right side hitter. Upon graduating from Michigan she attended Bowling Green State University to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education and was a walk-on right side hitter.
Dave began coaching volleyball in 1996 at the University of Toledo as an assistant coach with the women's team. He moved into high school and USAV by coaching the Girls JV and Boys Varsity teams at Perrysburg High School and various age groups for Glass City Volleyball Club.
Jen has been the Head Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach at Olentangy Liberty since 2003 and lead the team to an OCC championship in 2007, 2009 and 2010. These accomplishments earned her the OCC Capital Co-Coach of the Year in 2007 and Coach of the year OCC Capital division in 2009 and District Co-Coach of the year in 2009.
Anthony Chappel has been coaching volleyball for 3 years. In his first year he assisted at the 8th grade level in Worthington and the past 2 season he has assisted the CVA 13 National team. He also plays beach and indoor volleyball throught Central Ohio.
A Shelbyville, Indiana native and a graduate of Ohio Northern University, Wendy Cromer has lived in the Urbana area for 14 years. At Ohio Northern University, Coach Cromer was an All-State selection, a two-time First Team Ohio Athletic Conference selection, and team captain for two seasons. She helped the Polar Bears to a four year record of 136-36, winning four OAC Championships and qualifying for the NCAA tournament all four seasons. Cromer's teams were ranked as high as 8th in the nation.
Adrienne Delph has 25 years of coaching experience with 20 years being at the collegiate level. She has coached at the Division III, Junior College and Division I levels of college volleyball at Heidelberg College, Owens Community College, Samford University, Troy University, Ohio State University, and Kenyon College.
Allyson graduated from James Madison University in May 2009 with a Bachelor's in Education and in May 2010 with Master's in Education. She was a three year starter for the JMU Dukes as a Middle Hitter.
Scot has been head coach of Gahanna Lincoln’s girls’ volleyball program since 2006 and has been the coach of the school’s boys’ freshman team since 2009. Several of his players have played for different colleges throughout the United States.
Erin graduated from Cornell University in May 2011with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. She was a four yearstarter for the Big Red as an Outside Hitter and was a co-captain for the 2010season.
This is Carrie's first year with CVA. She comes to us from Detroit, MI where she coached the U16 National team at Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy where her team earned a National Honorable Mention nod in the Prep National Volleyball Rankings, a first for the age group. She also did setting training there for the past 4 years. Carrie also has worked volleyball camps across the country, including her family's camp in Tulsa, OK.
Coach Margo Moeller is a graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in Communication and a minor in Marketing. While attending the University of Dayton she played 4 years on the volleyball team as a Right-side Hitter.
As the Head Girls Volleyball Coach for Dublin Coffman since 2006, Mary Anne has coached the ROCKS to over 100 wins, 4 OCC titles, 3 District titles and a State Runner-Up title in 2009. She has been the Central District Co-Coach of the year for the past 3 seasons and earned an OHSAA Coaches Achievement award in 2009.
Kate is starting in her first season with CVA. In 2009 and 2010 Kate coached the 17’s regional team for Mintonette. She has also been a Class 1 Official for OHSAA the past 4 years.
Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Chris played at The Ohio State University for current coach Pete Hanson, as part of Pete's first recruiting class, and was teammates with current assistant coach Tim Embaugh. After finishing his eligibility he spent a year as undergraduate assistant coach for the Buckeyes.
Tracy has been with CVA since it's start in 2006 and is now in her 17th year of coaching volleyball. She has experience at the Jr. High, High School and Club levels. In 1984 Tracy played for Sports Performance in Chicago, Illinois and later moved to Southern California to play for Magnum Volleyball Club.
In 2003, Betsy started her coaching career helping out the Parkland College volleyball team in Champaign, Illinois. After Parkland, Betsy moved back to Ohio and started coaching for SOJO volleyball club as well as Kenton Ridge High School in Springfield. She coached for Mintonette a couple years before coming to CVA.
Gweyn Zechman, a native of Iowa, began coaching in the collegiate ranks in 1987. She brings a multitude of experience to the CVA program. Zechman graduated from New Mexico State University where she was a four-year starter for the Roadrunners as a right side hitter/setter.
